Nabr

UX/UI | MOBILE CONCEPT

Nabr

NABR is a conceptual app designed to simplify the overwhelming process of finding a new neighborhood when moving to a new city. By curating lifestyle-driven neighborhood previews, my goal for this app is to help users visualize daily life in potential communities and simplify decision-making through tailored recommendations and interactive previews.

Problem + Proposal

I began my design process by observing how overwhelming it can be to find a neighborhood that truly fits someone’s lifestyle. Existing tools often focus on housing listings rather than day-to-day living. This led me to propose NABR: a personalized, lifestyle-driven app that helps users preview neighborhoods and feel more confident in their decisions.

Research & Insights

I then identified key pain points through research: the lack of personalized lifestyle filters, heavy reliance on random reviews, and uncertainty around what daily life in a new area would actually feel like. To understand user priorities, I highlighted factors such as walkability, access to green spaces, cultural/community fit, and proximity to amenities. I also benchmarked apps like Camber and Airbnb to study how they curate and present location-based experiences.

User Personas

Information Architecture + Task Flows

Three core flows shaped the app’s foundation:
  1. Onboarding to capture lifestyle preferences.
  2. Exploring curated neighborhood previews.
  3. Managing preferences and creating personalized itineraries.

Wireframing I began with paper sketches to map core flows, then translated them into digital wireframes in Figma. Iterations focused on simplifying navigation and ensuring clear access to NABR’s core features.

Visual ExplorationI explored two directions: a warm, bold, and social look versus a calming, minimal aesthetic. Feedback led to a final style tile embracing vibrant colors, bold typography, and approachable UI elements to create a welcoming, modern feel.

Final Screens + Prototype
The final design includes a streamlined onboarding flow that captures lifestyle preferences, a curated feed of neighborhood previews, and an itinerary builder that lets users imagine a day in their chosen neighborhood. I focused on keeping the visuals clean but approachable, ensuring the app felt engaging without overwhelming users.
